Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking an in-store Events Coordinator to plan and execute events within the Newtown Square location. You will coordinate kids' birthday parties, crafts classes, and other events, ensuring a fun, engaging, and stress-free experience for guests while assisting customers and supporting store operations.

You will interact with guests of all ages, manage checkout assistance, and handle administrative tasks, inventory, and safety standards to uphold the brand promise.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a retail setting.
• Experience planning and coordinating events or parties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple in-store events, including children’s birthday parties.
• Engage with guests of all ages to create a fun, creative atmosphere.
• Demonstrate crafts and supervise activities, including face painting.
• Assist with event add-ons and client communications.
• Complete administrative tasks and support store operations as needed.
