Job summary

Meijer Inc. seeks an Overnight Lead for full-time weekend coverage to guide operations at Clyde Park Ave, Grand Rapids, MI. You will supervise daily tasks, coach teammates, and ensure exceptional customer service and store performance.

You will partner with leadership on scheduling, enforce food safety, manage ordering and stocking, and uphold Meijer culture, including DEI, across the department during overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and mentor teammates.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to meet service and sales goals.
• Train new team members and cross-train high-potential talent.
• Assist with department scheduling to boost engagement and profitability.
• Maintain product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide the team on food safety standards and safe operations.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays.
• Foster a Meijer culture with DEI values.
• Operate registers and handle cash when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to meet goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments.
