Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Overnight Stocking Manager for our East and West Grand Rapids stores. You will lead Leads and Team Leaders, drive engagement, coaching, performance management and development, and steward the Meijer culture.

The role oversees area operations, staffing plans, and financial results, with a focus on safety, productivity, and customer service. A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years retail leadership are required, with Meijer offering growth paths and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members providing clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrates proactive/creative thinking and applies it to the business.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training and development are provided with coaching and feedback.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing and leadership development.
• Conducts candid discussions to ensure adherence to Meijer standards and growth potential.
• Oversees area operations and financial results, managing budgets and P&L.
• Drives safety and compliance and maintains store conditions and procedures.
• Guides Leads and Team Members with daily work assignments and training needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
