Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience, including checkout.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training for new team members and cross-train high-potential talent.
• Collaborate with leadership on department scheduling to boost engagement and store performance.
• Monitor product rotation and dating to ensure freshness.
• Guide the team on food safety standards and safe work practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays as needed.
• Foster Meijer culture with diversity, equity, and inclusion in daily work.
• Operate registers and handle cash when required.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories to meet targets.
• May lead other departments when required.
