Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Weekend 1st Shift Dock Coordinator to support dock and yard operations at the site. You will coordinate trailer movements and ensure safety and efficiency in daily tasks, working closely with operations, transportation, and customer-facing teams.

The role requires outdoor work, weather readiness, and strong communication. You will use MS Office 365 and Google Suite to document activities and report issues, with coverage responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock/yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain.
• Follow defined processes, safety standards, and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication for customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Google Suite

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support of hand tools and dock equipment.
• Coordinate trailer movements to support daily priorities and dock operations.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow with knowledge of trailer anatomy.
• Monitor dock conditions and stop-work when unsafe; escalate as needed.
• Partner with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams daily.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines, safety standards and SWIs.
• Support dock and yard organization per 7S standards.
• Perform regular visual inspections to identify risks and delays.
• Use Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership and peers.
