Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a Yard & Dock Coordinator to lead dock activities, coordinate trailer movements, and ensure safe, efficient operations across the yard. You will work with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams, apply 7S standards, and use MS Office and Google Suite to track issues and communicate updates.

This role requires outdoor work in all weather, strong communication, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Champion operation safety and support dock equipment.
Serve as the primary contact for loading/unloading dock activities.
Coordinate trailer movements to support daily priorities.
Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow.
Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe situations.
Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams.
Ensure dock activities follow process guidelines and safety standards.
Support 7S workplace organization.
Conduct regular visual inspections and identify risks or delays.
Document issues using Office 365 and Google Suite.
Provide coverage to site leadership and peers as needed.
