Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard & Dock Coordinator to be the primary point of contact for dock activities, ensuring safe, efficient trailer movement and yard flow. This weekend 2nd shift role requires hands-on leadership and close coordination with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams.

The position emphasizes accountability, operational discipline, and customer service excellence as part of a fast-paced logistics environment at the Bristow facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/distribution or dock/yard environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock and yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong adherence to safety and escalation protocols.
• Excellent communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate loading and unloading dock activities to support daily priorities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow following safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and stop-work when unsafe conditions arise.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customers.
• Maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines and SWIs.
• Support 7S workplace standards and site organization.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to identify risks or delays.
• Use Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and issue updates.
• Provide coverage to site leadership and peers as needed.
