Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Yard and Dock Coordinator for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am–4:00pm). You will lead dock activities, coordinate trailer movements, and ensure safety and efficiency across operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams.

The role emphasizes accountability, 7S workplace standards, and strong customer service. Candidates should be able to work outdoors in varying weather and stand/walk long hours as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environments.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support of dock equipment.
• Coordinate trailer movements to support daily priorities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate when unsafe.
• Collaborate with site operations and customer teams.
• Maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with safety standards.
• Provide dock and yard organization in line with 7S standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to identify risks.
• Use Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity.
• Provide coverage to site leadership and Lead peers.
