Job summary

IGHL Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to model respectful, person-centered care for individuals with developmental disabilities in residential settings. This role emphasizes ADL assistance, safety, and supportive supervision.

You will administer medications per OPWDD AMAP certification, supervise daily activities, document care and billing logs, and coordinate transportation under IGHL policies. A valid NYS driver’s license and SCIP/CPR certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS driver's license required.
• SCIP and AMAP certifications required or must be completed within 6 months.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with mobility.
• Must pass background checks and participate in trainings.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication per OPWDD AMAP certification.
• Provides ADL assistance and supervision during daily routines.
• Teaches self-care skills and supports independent living.
• Maintains documentation and logs including billing when needed.
• Assists with transportation and escorts to appointments.
• Participates in staff meetings and trainings.
