Job summary

IGHL Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to be a role model for individuals with developmental disabilities. The DSP will provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, supervise medications, and support community outings while maintaining meticulous logs and adhering to OPWDD and IGHL policies.

The role requires driving ability with a NYS license, SCIP and CPR certifications, and the stamina to assist with lifting and daily tasks in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• We require a NYS Driver’s license for transportation duties.
• SCIP and Adult CPR certifications must be completed per IGHL policy.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication with OPWDD AMAP certification.
• Provide ADL assistance and support throughout daily routines.
• Supervise and assist with self-care activities (toileting, bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Implement program goals in self-care, communication, and independent living.
• Maintain documentation in nursing, medication, behavior and logs.
