Job summary

IGHL Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to serve as a role model for residents with developmental disabilities. The DSP will assist with activities of daily living, provide hands-on support, and ensure safe and respectful care based on established programs and certifications.

The role requires SCIP and AMAP/CPR certifications, a valid NYS driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A flexible schedule including holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Valid NYS driver’s license is required.
• SCIP and Adult CPR certifications required or to be completed within 6 months of hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work flexible days including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as per certifications.
• Support and supervise residents in ADLs and daily living activities.
• Provide instruction and supervision for self-care routines and hygiene.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation including billing as needed.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks and community activities.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in trainings.
