Job summary

IGH L Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to model respectful care for individuals with developmental disabilities. The DSP will assist with ADLs, support nutrition, hygiene, and mobility, while documenting progress and maintaining safety.

The role requires CPR/SCIP certification, a valid NY driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. You may cover shifts across IGHL locations and participate in trainings and team meetings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS Driver's license required.
• SCIP and Adult CPR certification required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical activities.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication as licensed.
• Encourages choice making and uses redirection as needed.
• Assists with self-care routines and documentation of care.
• Implements program goals for daily living, mobility and communication.
• Supports housekeeping tasks and community-based activities.
• Provides transportation and supervision for community activities.
• Maintains accurate logs and adheres to policy and safety rules.
