Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dining Services Aide to assist with meal preparation and service for residents in the community. You will work under the Lead Cook and Dining Services Manager, with weekend shifts required, contributing to clean, safe, and efficient dining operations.

Responsibilities include setting up trays, assisting with meals, maintaining kitchen sanitation, and supporting dietary staff through orientation and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Help prepare different meals.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Maintain sanitizer buckets.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Stock groceries safely.
• Clean surfaces in kitchen and dining areas.
• Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and dining areas.
• Carry out trash in kitchen and dining areas.
• Leave kitchen clean and sanitary; assist when needed.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
• Cooperate with all departments and uphold company values.
• Follow applicable guidelines and policies.
