Job summary

PACS seeks a Dietary Aide to support daily meal service in a post-acute setting. The role reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor and has no supervisory responsibilities.

The position requires learning the food service routine quickly and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Key tasks include setting up meal trays, assisting with serving, operating the dishwasher, preparing nourishments, and keeping kitchens and refrigerators clean.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.
• Able to present information clearly to managers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Operate dishwasher and monitor water temperatures.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks for residents.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
