Job summary

PACS seeks a Dietary Aide General Purpose to support our dietary team in a healthcare setting. You will help set up meal trays, assist with serving, and ensure dishes and kitchen areas remain clean and sanitary throughout the shift.

You will learn routines quickly, operate the dishwasher, and help with nourishments, snacks, and proper waste disposal as directed by the cook or dietary supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Learn food service routines quickly and work under supervision.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and surfaces.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing equipment.
• Carry out trash removal and grocery storage in a safe, orderly manner.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary staff training.
