Job summary

Ohio Living in Ohio is seeking an Activities Assistant to support daily programming, enhancing residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being while delivering services per standards and regulations.

You will lead activities, coordinate events, monitor logs, assist with crafts, and communicate with residents and families. A high school diploma is required; long-term care experience is preferred; weekend and shift flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year activities experience preferred.
• Two years experience in long-term care, hospital, or related healthcare setting preferred.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily activity programs to meet residents' interests and well-being.
• Encourage residents to participate in hobbies and crafts.
• Assist bed-bound residents with visits and activities.
• Mange routine visits and assist with crafts, projects, etc.
• Coordinate activities and events, including evenings and outings.
