Job summary

Ohio Living is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the daily activity program for residents. You will help implement activities that promote physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in alignment with regulations and company standards.

The role emphasizes interaction with residents, organizing events, and maintaining documentation. Experience in long-term care or healthcare is preferred, and weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• One year activities experience preferred.
• Two years in a long-term care, hospital, or related healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide programming that meets residents' interests and well-being.
• Encourage participation in hobbies and crafts.
• Visit bed-bound residents and assist with activities and materials.
• Coordinate schedules for parties, movies, games, and other activities.
• Maintain activity records and communicate needs for supplies.
