Ohio Living is seeking an Activities Assistant to support residents in a vibrant long-term care community in Ohio. You will implement engaging programming, assist with crafts and hobbies, and help maintain residents' physical, mental, and social well-being in line with our standards and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities span care management, event planning, coordination with staff, and documenting resident progress.

Qualificações

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsabilidades

• Performs day to day activity functions to provide programming that meets the residents’ interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
• Encourages and assists residents to participate in hobbies and crafts.
• Assists bed-bound residents by visiting, writing/reading letters, providing materials for hobbies, etc.
• Might assist with transporting residents to/from dining areas and accompany residents to off-site activities.
• Interacts with residents to ensure quality care and positive resident/staff relations.
• Maintains open relationships with resident family members and responds to requests or concerns.
• Communicates with residents or family members to obtain activity information.
• Provide reading materials in Braille, tapes, and recordings as needed.
