Job summary

Hornblower Corp. is seeking a Deckhand to help create unforgettable experiences on the water. You’ll help maintain the vessel, support safe operations, assist with docking, and ensure guests have a comfortable journey.

This role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. You must be at least 18, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and pass safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Energetic, dependable and team-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • TWIC certification may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers.
  • Assist with docking, undocking and handling mooring lines.
  • Monitor passenger areas and support safe vessel operations.
  • Participate in safety drills and follow vessel safety procedures.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and guest-ready decks, common areas and restrooms.
  • Assist with vessel maintenance, equipment checks, and general operational tasks.
  • Load and unload supplies and remove trash and debris.
  • Support the Captain and crew with daily vessel operations.
