Job summary

RK&K is seeking a highly motivated Structural Project Engineer to join our municipal infrastructure team. The role focuses on the structural analysis, design and delivery of water/wastewater facility structures and related building-type projects.

This role offers ownership of design scopes, leadership of technical tasks, and collaboration across disciplines from concept through construction. You will mentor staff and support construction-phase activities on multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural focus.
PE license required.
4+ years of structural engineering experience focused on environmental and building-type structures.
Proficiency with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, ACI 350, AISC 360, TMS 402/602.
STAAD.Pro, RISA-3D, RAM experience.
Strong writing, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, masonry, steel, aluminum structures.
Prepare design calculations, plans, specifications, and construction documents for water/wastewater municipal projects.
Review design deliverables for QC and code compliance.
Lead structural tasks and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Provide construction-phase support and site observations.
Develop cost estimates and monitor hours/budgets for structural scopes.
