Job summary

RK&K is seeking a highly motivated Structural Project Engineer to join our growing municipal infrastructure team. You will take ownership of structural design scopes, lead technical tasks, and collaborate across disciplines from project concept through construction.

The ideal candidate will perform structural analysis and design for water/wastewater facilities and building-type structures, mentor staff, and support construction-phase activities.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience, with focus on environmental and building-type structures.
• Familiarity with building design codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, ACI 350, AISC 360).
• Proficiency with structural analysis/design software (STAAD.Pro, RAM, RAM).
• Strong written and verbal communication and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and design of reinforced concrete, masonry, steel, aluminum structures for municipal projects.
• Prepare design calculations, plans, specs, and construction documents.
• QC review of deliverables to ensure code compliance and client requirements.
• Lead routine design tasks and mentor junior staff.
