Job summary
RK&K in Baltimore seeks a Structural Project Engineer to lead design, analysis, and delivery of water and wastewater facility structures, including treatment plants and pump stations. You will own structural scopes, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with process, geotechnical, architectural, and civil disciplines from concept through construction.
The role emphasizes quality control, construction document prep, site investigations, and construction support.
Qualifications
- Degree in civil engineering with a structural focus is required.
- PE license is required.
- 4+ years of structural engineering experience in environmental/building-type structures.
- Experience with design codes: IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, ACI350, AISC 360, TMS 402/602.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of concrete, masonry, steel, stainless steel, and aluminum structures.
- Prepare design calculations, plans, specifications, and construction documents for municipal water/wastewater projects.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve project constraints.
- Provide construction-phase support including shop drawings review and RFIs.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead design tasks.
