Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge and wastewater treatment equipment in an industrial facility to meet customer specifications.

The role requires learning to operate pumps, centrifuges, mixers, valves and related equipment while maintaining safety, quality, and performance targets. A High School Diploma is required and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and comprehend English for operations, safety and quality instructions.
• Must demonstrate ability to work in a team and take on additional responsibilities.
• Must be able to serve rotational 24 hour emergency on-call if required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record; pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate assigned machines and equipment independently to meet processing/quality targets.
• Operate equipment such as pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, belts and testing devices.
• Collaborate with team and assume new responsibilities as needed.
