Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge and dewatering equipment in a refinery/industrial setting, ensuring water purification to customer specs. You will learn to operate pumps, centrifuges, generators and other equipment, contributing to a safe, efficient operation.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be comfortable with basic math, English literacy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some related experience preferred.
• Must read/write/understand English (operational, safety, quality).
• Must be able to participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate sludge and dewatering equipment to purify water and meet specs.
• Learn and independently operate pumps, centrifuge, generators, valves, gates, mixers and conveyors.
• Work in a team environment and readily take on new responsibilities.
• Use computer programs for process control and monitoring.
