Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge and processing equipment at an industrial facility, under direct supervision. You will gain hands-on experience, perform routine testing, collect samples, and support maintenance tasks while adhering to safety and quality targets.

Required are a High School Diploma or GED and basic competency in learning new systems, with risk-aware habits. Training programs including HAZWOPER and safety modules are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment and processes.
• Competency progression from Operator I to II after training and demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sludge, de-watering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment to meet customer specs under supervision.
• Learn to operate pumps, centrifuges, valves, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, and measurement devices.
• Perform routine sampling, log process readings, and assist in preventative and general maintenance.
