Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge and dewatering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment at an industrial facility to purify water per customer specifications. Must be able to learn and operate pumps, engines, centrifuges, generators, valves, and related equipment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, basic math skills, and the ability to pass a drug test and background check.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and comprehend English for operational, process, safety and quality instructions.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sludge, dewatering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment.
• Work in refinery/industrial facility to meet customer specifications.
• Possess ability to learn and independently operate various pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves and other equipment.
• Collaborate in a team environment and be willing to take on new responsibilities.
