Job summary

Veolia North America in Massachusetts is seeking an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge, dewatering treatment, and related equipment to purify water per customer specs. This role requires hands-on work in an industrial facility and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, basic math and English literacy, and the ability to work in a team. Willingness to learn, rotate for 24-hour emergency on-call, and pursue Grade 5 and Grade 6

Qualifications

• Reads, writes and comprehends English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions).
• Must be able to work in a team environment and take on additional responsibilities.
• Must be able to serve rotational 24-hour emergency on-call if required by site.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sludge, dewatering treatment and related equipment.
• Learn and independently operate pumps, centrifuges, valves, and testing equipment.
• Collaborate with team to meet processing and quality targets.
