City of Farmington is seeking a Water/Wastewater Operations Manager to oversee operations and maintenance along with contract oversight for water and wastewater utilities. The role requires strong customer service, public relations, and project coordination skills.

The position is full-time, based at the West Annex location, and includes responsibility for coordinating with contractors, reviewing invoices, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Flexibility for after-hours emergencies is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering field.
• Engineering Intern (EI) exam preferred; a current EI certification will qualify for the M pay range.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of Water/Wastewater Operations, Maintenance, & Environmental Administrator.
• Serves as contact and liaison between the City of Farmington and its Water/Wastewater Utilities contractors.
• Reviews invoicing for accuracy and supports routine maintenance of the system components.
• Responds to emergencies involving water, wastewater, storm, and irrigation systems.
• Provides field-support for project oversight and engineering input to contractors.
