Job summary

Inframark LLC seeks a Water/Wastewater Utilities Manager to lead operations and maintenance of municipal water and/or wastewater systems. This hands-on leader serves as the primary client liaison, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and operational excellence across facilities and staff.

The role requires an active state water/wastewater license, 7+ years of municipal utility experience, and a track record of managing budgets, contracts, and capital projects while building strong client

Qualifications

• Active highest-level state Water/Wastewater Operator License (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in municipal water and/or wastewater operations and maintenance.
• Proven leadership of municipal utility operations, facilities, and maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of treatment processes, regulatory compliance, asset management, and utility operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for municipal water and/or wastewater treatment operations and maintenance.
• Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facilities and distribution/collection systems.
• Serve as senior operational authority and hands-on operator when needed.
• Develop and improve operating procedures, maintenance programs, and performance standards.
• Drive continuous improvement for reliability, compliance, efficiency, and customer service.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipal clients, officials, and regulatory agencies.
• Present updates on operations, compliance, and finances to city leadership and boards.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop operations personnel; foster safety and accountability.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and capital projects; support growth and renewals.
