Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design and engineering of water and wastewater projects. As Engineer-of-Record, you will apply advanced electrical engineering knowledge to size, evaluate, and specify systems per codes and standards.

You will mentor junior staff, develop construction packages, and contribute to business development. The role requires PE licensure and 7–8 years of relevant experience, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer with extensive electrical design experience in water/wastewater projects.
• Experience leading multi-discipline teams and coordinating with clients.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Engineer-of-Record for projects/components of varying complexity.
• Evaluates, specifies, and engineers electrical systems for a project.
• Leads design development using sketches, diagrams, and 3D models.
• Mentors junior engineers and designers.
• Prepares and revises construction documents and cost estimates.
• Manages project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.
• Coordinates with clients, contractors, and vendors for project delivery.
