Job summary

Stantec is seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer to lead water and wastewater projects in a fast‑paced environment. You will serve as Engineer‑of‑Record, applying advanced electrical design knowledge to size, specify, and optimize systems.

You will mentor staff and collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams. The role involves developing construction documents, managing scope and budget, and advancing company standards across multiple projects in Chandler, AZ and Salt Lake City,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and PE license.
• 7–8+ years of electrical engineering experience, water/wastewater preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes and analysis methods.
• Ability to lead teams through all design phases and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation; Revit a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as Engineer-of-Record for projects and components with varying complexity.
• Size, evaluate, specify, and engineer electrical systems per codes.
• Lead design through sketches, models, diagrams and drawings.
• Develop 3D models of electrical systems and layouts.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers and support project teams.
• Prepare plans, diagrams and construction details.
• Coordinate project meetings with clients, consultants, and vendors.
• Manage project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.
• Oversee construction phase services and RFIs.
• Develop standards and specifications for the electrical group.
