Job summary

Stantec's water practice in California seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. In this role you will lead the design and engineering of multiple projects that range in size and complexity, serving as Engineer-of-Record and applying electrical knowledge to size, evaluate, and specify systems for water/wastewater facilities.

You will conduct field investigations, prepare design calculations, and develop construction packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in water/wastewater projects.
• Experience leading design teams and producing construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Engineer-of-Record for projects and components.
• Designs and engineers electrical systems and selects appropriate equipment.
• Develops designs via sketches, models, diagrams, and drawings.
• Leads project coordination and reviews with clients and contractors.
• Prepares design calculations and construction packages.
• Mentors junior engineers and contributes to standards development.
• Manages scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
