Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an Operator to operate and maintain water treatment and sludge processing equipment at a Sturbridge facility to meet customer specifications. You will support 24/7 operations and ensure purity levels meet required standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic math and English literacy, and ability to use process-control software. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Willing to serve rotational 24-hour emergency on call.

Responsibilities

• Learn and independently operate machines and equipment to meet processing and quality targets.
• Operate pumps, engines, centrifuges, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers and testing equipment.
• Work in a team environment and assume additional responsibilities as needed.
• Use computer programs for process control.
