Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge, dewatering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment to purify water to customer specifications at an industrial facility. The role requires basic English reading/writing, teamwork, and the ability to learn and operate a range of equipment; on-call rotation may be required and a valid driver's license is needed.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and basic computer skills for process

Qualifications

• Must read, write and comprehend English, and perform basic math.
• Must work well in a team and be willing to take on new responsibilities.
• Must be able to serve rotational 24-hour emergency on-call if required by site.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sludge, dewatering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment to purify water to customer specifications.
• Learn and independently operate equipment such as pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers and measuring/control devices.
• Demonstrate willingness to take on additional or new responsibilities and work in a team environment.
