Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge, dewatering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment in a refinery/industrial facility to purify water to meet customer specifications.

This role requires basic math, English literacy and a willingness to learn, with on-call rotation and a commitment to safety and quality targets. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions).
• Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to serve rotational 24 hour emergency on-call if required by site.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sludge, dewatering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment.
• Learn and independently operate equipment such as pumps, centrifuges, generators, valves, mixers and measuring/control devices.
• Work in a team environment and willingly take on new responsibilities.
• Use computer programs for process control.
