Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge and dewatering treatment equipment in a refinery/industrial facility to purify water per customer specs. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and learning to operate a range of processing equipment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer use for process control, and willingness to work in a team with rotating on-call shifts. TWIC and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and comprehend English and perform basic math.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and take on additional responsibilities.
• Must be able to serve rotational 24 hour emergency on-call if required by site.
• Must be able to operate equipment such as pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, and conveyors.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sludge and dewatering treatment equipment to purify water to customer specs.
• Meet processing and quality targets while running assigned machines independently.
• Be willing to learn new tasks and adapt to additional responsibilities in a team setting.
