Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a skilled Operator to run and maintain water/wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring permit compliance and optimal performance. You will monitor equipment, calibrate instruments, and perform routine and preventive maintenance while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires experience in process control, lab testing, and on-call responsibilities to support 24-hour plant operations.

Qualifications

• High School reading, writing and comprehension of English.
• Associate’s degree in science or technical area preferred.
• 5+ years in water/wastewater treatment or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water/wastewater treatment equipment.
• Monitor control panels and adjust valves to regulate flow.
• Perform field and lab tests for permit compliance and process control.
• Maintain shift logs and document observations.
• Ensure safety, PPE compliance and housekeeping.
