Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an Operator to operate and maintain sludge, dewatering, and testing equipment at an industrial facility to purify water to meet customer specifications.

The role requires basic math, English literacy, and the ability to work in a team, with potential for 24-hour on-call duties. A High School Diploma/GED is required; valid driver's license and a clean driving record are also needed.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and comprehend English to follow instruction, safety and quality procedures.
• Must perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to serve rotational 24-hour emergency on call if required by site.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor sludge, dewatering, processing, disposal and testing equipment.
• Learn and operate equipment such as pumps, centrifuges, generators, valves and measuring devices.
• Work in a team environment and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Use computer programs for process control.
