Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge, dewatering and related processing equipment at an industrial facility to meet customer specifications. The role requires a high school diploma and basic math skills, with potential on-call duties.

Responsibilities include learning and operating pumps, centrifuges, generators, valves, mixers, conveyors and related control systems, and using process control software.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions).
• Must able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to serve rotational 24-hour emergency on-call if required by site.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sludge, dewatering treatment, processing and testing equipment to purify water per specifications.
• Learn and independently operate pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, belts and measuring/control devices.
• Work in a team environment and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Use computer programs for process control.
