Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer with 5–10 years of experience focused on water resource projects such as fisheries, hydropower, dams, and pump stations. You will contribute from concept through commissioning, collaborating with teams nationwide.

The role requires strong design, analysis, and mentoring capabilities, with expertise in ABAQUS/ANSYS and familiarity with ASCE7 standards. Travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• MS in Structural Engineering preferred; P.E. licensure a plus.
• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer in water resources projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Design Documentation Reports and technical memoranda.
• Perform structural computations and analyses with hand methods and software.
• Develop project details and drawings (hand drafting/CAD).
• Evaluate and manage design and construction support services.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
