Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer with 5-10 years of experience for water resources projects including fisheries, hydropower, dams and related civil infrastructure.

You will develop design documents, perform linear and non-linear analysis, create CAD drawings, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with clients across the United States and Canada. Travel up to 15% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• P.E. or P.Eng. licensure a plus.
• Experience with water resource infrastructure including fishery projects, hydropower, dams, water conveyance, storm water networks, and pump stations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Design Documentation Reports and other technical documents.
• Evaluate and apply advanced structural design techniques.
• Perform structural computations and analysis using hand calculations and software.
• Develop project details and drawings by hand or CAD.
• Edit specifications and assist with Project Manual.
• Support construction phase with submittals, site inspections, and conformance reporting.
• Develop FEA models and present results to clients.
• Manage planning, design and construction support services.
