Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer with 5–10 years of experience focused on water resource work, including fisheries, hydropower, dams, flood control, and pump stations.

The candidate will work across feasibility studies, permitting, design, construction, and commissioning, balancing technical precision with real‑world functionality. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• P.E. or P.Eng. licensure a plus.
• Experience with water resource infrastructure including fishery related projects, hydropower, dams, water conveyance, storm water networks, heavy grading, water treatment, spillways, and pump stations.
• Experience with FEA modeling software for linear and non-linear structural analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design documentation reports, technical memorandums and other technical reports.
• Evaluate and apply advanced structural design techniques and criteria.
• Perform structural computations and analyses using hand methods and design software.
• Develop project details and drawings by hand or CAD.
• Edit project specifications and assist with the Project Manual.
