Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks a Water Resources Project Manager to lead design and construction support for critical infrastructure across TX/CO. You will manage projects, coordinate clients, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality drainage and floodplain solutions.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and support business development through proposals and interviews. Office-based with occasional field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Texas P.E. license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 7+ years of drainage engineering experience.
• 2+ years of design oversight and training junior staff.
• Experience in TxDOT drainage design for TxDOT transportation projects.
• Experience with Open Roads Designer and Open Roads Drainage.
• Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-RMS, HEC-HMS.
• Understanding of complex stormwater and drainage concepts.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for project reports.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
• Ability to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver drainage projects from planning through construction.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate with clients and subconsultants to develop project scope and fee.
• Develop project plans, PM plans and quality management plans.
• Create and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and prepare progress reports.
• Support marketing and proposal development for new work.
