Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking a seasoned leader to head Water Resources, aligning sector strategy with BKF’s growth goals. The role reports to the EVP of Infrastructure Solutions and focuses on delivering project excellence, talent development, and strong client relationships across California, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years leading complex projects in Water Resources.
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role with overall responsibility to develop and grow a business sector.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Master's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Direction: Develop and execute a multi-year strategic plan for the Water Resources sector and identify growth opportunities.
• Team Building & Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a team, with succession planning and resource allocation.
• Financial Management: Lead annual business plan and P&L ownership; monitor KPIs and profitability.
• Market Engagement & Growth: Expand client relationships, shape go-to-market strategies, and represent the firm at events.
• Project Oversight & Execution: Ensure quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction across projects.
• Client Relations: Build strong client relationships and growth with key public and private sector clients.
