Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive growth in our Water Resources practice across California. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex design projects, including flood control, stormwater, hydraulics, and master planning.

The role emphasizes client relations, budgets, and proposals, with potential leadership opportunities beyond mid-level positions. Ideal candidates hold a CA PE, extensive experience, and strong communication skills, with CAD and GIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering and CA PE preferred.
• Minimum 14+ years in civil/environmental engineering with leadership.
• Experience in water resources, stormwater, and related design.
• Strong client relations and proposals experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager on large design and construction projects.
• Lead technical and management efforts within Water Resources.
• Oversee engineering tasks, reports, drawings, specs, and calculations.
• Develop proposals, budgets, and fees for large efforts.
• Maintain client relationships before, during, and after projects.
• Mentor and train junior staff including PMs and engineers.
