Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, two years’ related experience.
• Experience in meter reading, installation or maintenance.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service requests and complaints regarding meter operations; troubleshoots problems and educates customers on policies.
• Installs, cleans, maintains and replaces water meters; locates meters and marks locations; replaces defective parts and repairs leaks.
• Connects new and re-established water services; installs and connects meters; disconnects delinquent accounts and leaves notices for customers.
• Maintains and updates customer information in departmental computer systems; documents inspections, repairs and requests.
