Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; two years of industrial maintenance experience preferred in water/wastewater facilities.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Review designs, specifications, and products; attend pre-construction meetings; recommend changes to mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot problems and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on water/wastewater equipment.
  • Fabricate and machine repair parts; weld steel, brass and aluminum; operate lathes and mill/drill presses.
  • Locate leaks and detect defects; monitor work practices for quality and safety compliance.
  • Input data from SCADA and generate reports as needed.
  • Support safety policies and adhere to drug testing requirements.
