Job summary

Garney is seeking a Business Development Manager in California with water and wastewater market experience to drive regional BD strategy and client relationships. The role involves leading proposals, coordinating with Operations, Marketing, Estimating, and documenting activity in Cosential/Unanet CRM.

The candidate should have 5+ years in water infrastructure and a strong grasp of CMAR/Design‑Build/P3, with a willingness to travel and a results‑driven mindset.

Qualifications

• 4‑year degree or equivalent preferred; Engineering or Construction Management is a plus.
• At least 5 years of diversified water infrastructure programs, project management, and strategic business development.
• Understanding of CMAR, Design Build, P3 and other collaborative delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with regional public, private, and industrial clients and stakeholders.
• Develop and lead regional business development strategy with Operations teams.
• Lead Go/No‑Go decisions and provide critical information to pursue or not.
• Oversee proposal process from inception to completion.
• Lead regional marketing and branding plans with corporate teams.
• Document prospect activity in Garney processes and CRM database.
