Job summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Business Development Manager in Atlanta with strong water and wastewater market knowledge. The role focuses on building relationships with regional clients, leading BD strategy with Operations, and guiding pursuit viability through Go/No-Go decisions and proposal leadership.

You will engage with public, private, and industrial owners, collaborate with marketing, estimating, and operations, and travel as needed to advance Garney’s regional presence.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of diversified water infrastructure experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of CMAR, Design-Build, and public-private delivery methods.
• Experience in proposal development and client engagement is a plus.
• Ability to travel occasionally with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with regional public, private, and industrial clients and stakeholders.
• Develop and lead regional business development strategy with Operations teams.
• Guide Go/No-Go decisions and provide critical pursuit viability data to operations.
• Lead the proposal process from capture planning to submission and interviews.
• Represent Garney as an industry leader at associations and conferences.
