Job summary

HDR in the United States is seeking a Water Business Group Professional Services Director who will serve as a key member of the WBG leadership team, providing executive leadership for technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice. Reporting to the WBG President, you will align technical practice groups, strengthen delivery capabilities, and advance standards to ensure high-quality client outcomes across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in professional services, program management or related fields.
• Experience leading technical teams and practices.
• Maintain involvement with AEC industry associations.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture and HDR values.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor development and training of staff in technical, professional, and service delivery competencies.
• Develop approaches to new technologies and digital delivery methods for delivery excellence.
• Evaluate and adopt professional services technologies and enabling systems to improve quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate staff training on policies, processes, and risk management.
• Lead continuous improvement through standards, best practices, and lessons learned.
• Support practice groups, project teams, and company initiatives related to productivity and service delivery.
